In this tutorial we will learn how to make a show effect. You can use this effect when you want to present something such as flash banner, header or some flash elements on your website.
Before getting started, let's have a look at the final result:
Step 1: First, save the image below: Step 2: Create a new flash document. Press Ctrl-J key on the keyboard (Document Properties) and set the width of your document to 300 pixels and the height to 300 pixels. Select white as the background color. Set your Flash movie's frame rate to 30 and click ok.
Step 3: Choose File > Import > Import to stage (Ctrl-R) and import the image that you saved in step 1. Adjust its position so that the image fits in the document ![]()
Step 4: Create a new layer and name it Mask. Click on the frame 1 of this layer and use the Rectangle Tool to draw a rectangle over the image
Step 5: Click on frame 1 of this layer again and open the Properties panel (Ctrl-F3). In the Tween drop-down box select "Shape"
Step 6: Click on frame 100 of this layer, press F6 to insert a keyframe and select the Free Transform Tool. Drag the bottom-center point of your rectangle upward until your image is revealed
Step 7: Right click on the Mask layer and select "Mask"
Now press Ctrl-Enter to test your result!
